Written by  Milking It

OPINION: Reckless action by Greenpeace in 2024 forced Fonterra to shut down a drying plant for four hours, costing the co-op about $300,000.

In October 2024, Greenpeace protesters climbed a 15-storey building at Fonterra’s Horotiu plant and hung over its air vents.

Recently these activists have been sentenced on a charge of unlawful entry into an enclosed yard. All except one were discharged without conviction.

Not a strong deterrent for ‘nut jobs’ hell bent on disrupting NZ’s biggest exporter.
