Twice-launched hub gets going
Southland's new research and demonstration dairy farm, the Southern Dairy Hub, is decidedly up and running – twice!
The Southern Dairy Hub (SDH), which runs a demonstration farm for South Island farmers, has a new general manager.
Greg Delaney is acting in the role and will work with the Southern Dairy Hub three days a week through to December.
SDH board chair Simon Flood says Delaney brings extensive leadership experience across the agribusiness and rural sectors, with a proven track record in operational excellence and organisational change.
"Greg has held senior leadership roles across some of New Zealand's largest agribusinesses. His collaborative background in strategy, operations and business improvement make him an excellent fit to lead the Hub during this next phase."
He thanked Andrea Dixon for her leadership over the past three years and for her recent consultancy to the Hub which has ensured that there is smooth transition for the team.
