Suzuki New Zealand has announced the arrival of the latest version of its Jimny SUV, the Horizon special edition, a one-off for the local New Zealand market.

Available in 3-door and 5-door variants, the Jimny Horizon has been developed for Kiwi customers seeking a practical, capable and distinctly styled compact 4WD for outdoor terrain and everyday versatility.

Building on Jimny’s established reputation for ruggedness and offroad ability, the Horizon has over $4000 worth of adventure-ready accessories and unique design elements that reinforce Jimny’s position as a compact 4WD with genuine go-anywhere credentials.

Externally, the Horizon features a package of genuine Suzuki accessories, including an attachable Osagawa tent shade, roof platform and side door mouldings, while a heritage-inspired grille and custom vinyl decals further distinguish the model.

Beyond the enhancements, the Horizon retains Suzuki’s proven ALLGRIP PRO 4WD system, low-range transfer gear and generous ground clearance, all being central to the vehicle’s capability, combined with the strength of its rigid ladder-frame construction.

Inside, the Jimny focuses on a practical, durable design with standard features including a touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, smartphone-connected navigation, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, auto light-sensing headlamps, daytime running lamps, fog lamps and Guide Me Light functionality.

Customers can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-stage automatic transmission.

The Horizon 3-Door Sierra adds climate control air conditioning and headlamp washers. The Horizon 5-Door adds four speakers, autolevelling headlamps and 377 litres of luggage capacity with the rear seats folded.

Safety and driver support remains an important consideration, with all models equipped with six airbags, Dual Sensor Brake Support, lane departure warning, weaving alert, cruise control, hill hold control, hill descent control and Brake LSD traction control.
