Shrinking?

Written by

Your old mate understands the Government has set up another committee on top of the 120-plus it has already established – this time for small business.

According to Small Business Minister Stuart Nash, the 13-member small business council has a mandate to “help the Government develop a strategy to drive improvement and innovation in the small business sector”. To the Hound this sounds eerily similar to the mandate of the $500,000 a year white elephant the Primary Sector Council. We all know Fonterra is going through a tough time, but it is hardly a small business. But then, the way the dairy co-op is performing it could well be a small business very soon.
