THE HOUND is intrigued by the deafening silence from the Green Party over recent news that London-based company Craigmore Sustainables has been granted Overseas Investment Office approval to acquire up to 95% of the securities of five New Zealand farms.

Does this lack of noise from the Greens – who are only too quick to jump up and down about other overseas companies buying New Zealand farms – due to the fact that Craigmore Sustainables. Forbes Elworthy, was listed as one of the party’s major donors at the last election?
