Alliance welcomes decarbonisation investment
Alliance Group says decarbonisation projects at three South Island processing plants is a major boost to its goal of reducing its carbon footprint.
Meat processor and exporter Alliance Group has appointed Mark Wynne as its new independent director.
Wynne, who is the chief executive of Ballance Agri-Nutrients, replaces Graeme Milne who will retire at Alliance’s annual meeting on December 16.
Alliance Group chair Murray Taggart says Wynne will bring strong skills to the board, due to his extensive experience in agribusiness, including 20 years in the dairy industry.
“Mark has significant experience in global sales and marketing, business transformation and co-operatives. We are looking forward to him making a valuable contribution to the board.”
Taggart also paid tribute to Milne and thanked him for his contributions to the Alliance Group over the past nine years in his role as a director.
The meat co-op’s annual meeting on December 16 will be hosted online due to COVID-19 restrictions. Farmer shareholders have been sent a formal notice of the meeting, which begins at 10:30am.
