Poronui luxury lodge is auctioning off a long weekend for eight guests at its Blake House private villa.

Currently, the auction has surpassed the $10,000 mark.

“Cyclone Gabrielle brought devastating floods to the Hawke’s Bay, our neighbouring region,” the charity auction’s TradeMe page reads.

“To help relief efforts, Poronui luxury lodge is auctioning a long weekend for 8 guests at its Blake House private villa coinciding with the opening of the 2023 flyfishing season on 1 October 2023.”

The winner’s stay will be fully catered by the lodge’s team of private chefs, with champagne on arrival, a wine cellar dinner one evening and all dietary needs accommodated for.

There will also be a meet the maker whisky experience hosted by Lammermoor Distilleries, a guided heli-hiking one day, competitive Claybird shooting, four one-hour massages, flyfishing, and access to the gym, steam room and sauna.

The auction is raising money for the Evergreen Foundation, the charitable arm of the TUMU Group. The foundation gives grants to individuals, families and others within the communities where TUMU’s businesses operate.

The foundation have an independent committee to distribute relief funds to those who need it most in the region.

To bid on the holiday, head to TradeMe. The auction ends on 26 March.
