Says it all!

Written by  The Hound

A mate of yours truly reckons one only needs to look at the gongs given out in the New Year Honours list to garner exactly what the current Government thinks of the farming sector.

According to the Hound’s mate, a total of 14 people from the wider arts community were given new year gongs; 10 people for services to music, two each for services to dance and film, and one for literature – with one person even doubled up, serving both theatre and dance – in the list!

However, the wider agriculture sector saw only three people recognised for New Year honours – and one of those was for services to the biodynamic farming!

It is not hard to see why the farming sector does not feel the love from the current Government!
