Chocolate milk goes south anyway

Some South Island retailers are going to great lengths to sell Lewis Road Creamery’s famous chocolate milk.

According to reports, two Christchurch dairies have smuggled the country’s most sought-after chocolate milk into their fridges.

Lewis Road Creamery has yet to distribute its product to the South Island, but two dairies have managed to stock it. They aren’t saying how they got the milk.

Lewis Road Creamery has warned it could pose a health and safety risk, as there was no guarantee the bottles were refrigerated while they were freighted south.
