Valtra has recently announced upgrades to the fifth generation A Series, offered to the New Zealand market in the four cylinder, A105 and A115 models, each delivering the maximum horsepower indicated on the side panels.

The company has announced that in future, tractors with four cylinders or more won’t be fitted with a traditional gear lever but will feature a fully electronically controlled transmission. This means that the larger A Series models with a four-step Powershift transmission will offer a choice of a 16+16R or 32+32R with creeper gearboxes.

New A105 and A115 Hi-Tech 4 models will offer a wide range of precision farming tools already seen on other Valtra models, centred around satellite positioning and the company’s own Valtra Guide software. The smart technologies will also integrate ISOBUS capabilities and Valtra’s suite of software tools for matching implements.

The operator will also enjoy safer and easier access to the cab via aluminium steps, with operation and safety improved with 70% larger rear-view mirrors, alongside upgrades to the heating and air conditioning systems, including the option of underfloor heating for those working in very cold conditions.

On the performance front, the Hi-Tech-4 transmission offers automatic or manual powershift, the hydraulic pump delivers 98 litres per minute, while a larger 200 litre fuel tank is fitted as standard.

Options include factory-fitted front linkage kits for use with or without front loaders, with a choice of manual or electronic control systems. The Valtra Unlimited design house allows individual customisation of styling, comfort or utility functions.
