Bovine excrement

Written by

Speaking of hyperbole and unsubstantiated claims, your canine crusader is getting tired of hearing the pompous, pretentious and self-important claims of Regional Development Minister Shane Jones.

It is insulting to those of us living in the regions for Jones to self-title himself the ‘first citizen’ or ‘champion’ of provinces without actually earning the title or doing anything to warrant it. What makes it even more galling is that just over a year ago Jones was swanning around the Pacific living high off the hog and achieving SFA, and before that was living in Ponsonby, Auckland, and charging up his hotel porn to the taxpayer. In fact, rumour has it that Jones’ over-hyped and under-achieving – much like his political career – PGF has seen many in the regions reckon the annual billion dollar booty actually stands for ‘pomposity, gratuity and f### all’ for provincial NZ.
