Kiwis back cows

OPINION: On cow numbers across the country, the majority of Kiwis don't agree that they need to drop.

In the latest Newshub Reid Research poll respondents were asked, "Do you think New Zealand needs to reduce livestock numbers to combat climate change?"

The results show over half the country, 50.4% said no, while 37.5% said yes and 12% didn't know.

That's what our farmers are saying as well: we don't need to cull herd sizes but what we do need to do is actually lead the world in finding the technology and the solutions needed to reduce emissions.
