Cautiously optimistic is how DairyNZ's regional manager for the lower North Island, Mark Laurence describes the mood of farmers in his patch.
The decision to formally elect Brown provides the Council with continuity heading into a post-Trading Among Farmers environment. Brown took over the chairmanship eight weeks aho after Simon Couper resigned over TAF.
Brown then helped guide the council and shareholders through the TAF final vote.
