Worm turns

Written by  The Hound

OPINION: Your canine crusader hears that Andrew Morrison's demise as Beef+Lamb chair came full circle for one of his early backers.

Rumour has it that one of his original farmer supporters - who was even a nominee when Morrison first stood for the board of BLNZ - had become one of his biggest critics.

In fact, Morrison's former supporter had become so discouraged with the former chair's leadership and the direction he was taking the organisation that he became avid supporter of his successful challenger, Geoff Young.

Even more staggering, he was even proposing a vote of no confidence in Morrison as chair and the whole board of BLNZ at the annual meeting.

Guess this gives meaning to the old saying, 'One day you are the top rooster and the next day a feather duster!'
