OPINION: After all the criticism that Winston Peters leveled at the India/NZ FTA, it seemed just a trifle ironic to the Hound that the first NZ politician to visit India after Prime Minister Modi's visit was a member of the Ewe Zealand First party.

Mark Patterson, farmer and well-known champion of NZ wool, was right in going to India to promote our wool.

The slight downside has been the new pun word it has created, such as - was this a ewe turn? Did Winston have the wool pulled over his eyes? Is Winston now feeling a bit sheepish and will this ewe stance be reflected in the polls?

The big question for Winston is 'when did ewe know that Mark was going to India on woolly business?'
