A tractor dealership celebrating 65 years selling Massey Fergusons, and other AGCO farm machinery, is still expanding, opening a new branch in Cromwell.
JJ Limited Tractor Dealership was established in 1958 and the family-owned dealership has been providing farmers with Massey Ferguson ever since, along with other AGCO branded products such as Fendt. To mark the 65 year milestone, JJ Limited is opening a new branch, “expanding its reach and reinforcing its commitment to serving farmers with excellence”.
The company says it all started a bit like this: co-founder Abbey Jones received a phone call from the managing director of Ferguson tractors saying, "We are looking for a dealer in Invercargill, they tell me you have a business there, are you interested?" Abbey Jones’ response was "Our premises are quite inadequate. Our present manager would not be able to cope. We have no money. But yes, I am interested." Jones went back to Invercargill partnered with Jack Johnson and JJ Limited was born.
"We are thrilled to celebrate 65 years of serving the agricultural community," said Paul Jones, managing director and third generation leader at JJ Limited. "Our success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams, as well as the trust and support we have received from our customers over the years. We are excited about the future and remain committed to delivering exceptional products and services that empower farmers."

The new branch will be located in Cromwell, strategically positioned to provide farmers in the surrounding areas with easy access to a comprehensive range of tractors and agricultural machinery.
Looking ahead, JJ Limited says it is focused on expanding its product portfolio and enhancing its service offerings. “Opening a new branch in Cromwell is an exciting development for us, as it allows us to better serve our valued customers and extend our reach to new farming communities in the Queenstown and Lakes districts."
