AGMARDT has announced five new scholarships for leadership and governance training within the agribusiness sector.
The scholarships are available for people who want to grow their leadership or governance skills to take on future leadership roles within agribusiness and beyond, says AGMARDT’s general manager Malcolm Nitschke.
“We believe the success of New Zealand agribusiness will be driven by talented and inspired leadership,” he says.
“We want to support people who can’t meet the financial costs of training courses themselves.”
Nitschke says AGMARDT is offering up to $15,000 including GST to assist people in attending courses such as the Kellogg Rural Leadership Programme or a personal development programme or an overseas business school.
“We don’t have too many restrictions, and we are interested in applications from people in the regions who have an interest in the agriculture, horticulture or forestry sector,” he says.
“We’d like the applicants to be nominated by industry organisations or groups.”
Applications for the five scholarships close on 30 September; application forms can be found at www.agmardt.org.nz.
