Containers roll out of Miraka

A STEADY stream of  containers loaded with UHT milk are leaving the Miraka dairy factory near Taupo headed for the China market.

Miraka is contracted by the Chinese dairy giant Shanghai Pengxin to produce the UHT milk in 250ml branded packs for Chinese consumers.

Miraka building UHT plant to supply China

THE MAORI dairy company Miraka, at Taupo, stole the limelight on John Key’s trade mission to China last week in Shanghai when it signed a joint venture deal to produce UHT milk for the new owners of the Crafar farms, Shanghai Pengxin.
