Foton Launches Tunland V Series Ute Range in New Zealand

Foton has launched the all-new Tunland V Series Ute range.

Foton has returned to the New Zealand light commercial vehicle market with the launch of the all-new Tunland V Series ute range, aimed at Kiwi drivers seeking capability, technology and value in a modern utility vehicle.

Positioned between traditional dual-cab utes and American-style full-sized pickups, the new Tunland V Series line-up consists of the V7 and V9 models, both powered by a 2.0 litre Foton Aucan turbo-diesel engine, paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a ZF sourced, eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Aucan Series engine boasts a B10-tested lifespan of 500,000km, with an emphasis on reliability and low-down torque, delivering 120kW of power and 450Nm of torque.

The Tunland offers towing capacity of up to 3500kg and payloads of up to 1115kg, depending on variant.

The V7-C comes in 4x2 and 4x4 configurations, focused on work-ready durability and practicality for fleets, tradespeople, and business operators, with over 1000kg payload capacity alongside the essential features needed for everyday commercial use.

The V9-S is available in a 4x4 format only, clearly aimed at drivers looking for greater comfort, refinement and lifestyle versatility. Featuring multi-link rear suspension, enhanced interior comfort and additional technology features, the V9-S is equally suited to weekday duties and weekend adventures.

The V Series come equipped with a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems, including autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist and blind spot monitoring, providing added confidence and safety behind the wheel.

Customers will also benefit from a seven-year unlimited kilometre warranty, seven years of roadside assistance, and servicing intervals set at 15,000 kilometres or 12 months, whichever occurs first.

Supporting the launch is a growing dealer network across major centres, ensuring customers receive localised sales and aftersales support throughout ownership.
