Pāmu Braces for $30m Hit From Rising Farm Costs
State farmer Pāmu is bracing for a $30 million hit from soaring farm input costs this financial year.
Carrfields has announced the appointment of Stu Hall to the newly created role of chief operating officer, Carrfields Ltd, reflecting the continued growth of their agribusinesses and the need to ensure the company has the leadership capacity and support in place as it pursues the emerging opportunities ahead.
Hall brings extensive senior executive and commercial leadership experience across New Zealand’s agribusiness and food sectors, most recently as acting chief executive and deputy chief executive commercial at AgResearch, where he was responsible for commercial performance, stakeholder engagement, organisational transformation and led geographically dispersed complex teams.
Prior to AgResearch, Hall held senior sales and marketing leadership positions with ANZCO Foods, including responsibility for global markets and significant revenue portfolios.
Hall’s initial focus will be supporting the fast-growing Carrfields Machinery business, while also working closely with group managing director Craig Carr and the senior leadership team on several strategic projects and initiatives underway across the group.
Carr said the appointment would strengthen the leadership of the business as it continues to grow.
