Wrong s#$t!

Written by

The Hound sees that the inquiry into the contamination of Havelock North’s water supply has been told that sheep – not cow – faeces was probably the cause of it.

The government-ordered inquiry into August’s campylobacter outbreak, which left 5000 sick, was told bores providing water to the Hawke’s Bay town had become contaminated, likely by sheep in nearby paddocks. This contrasts sharply with the ‘facts’ claimed by all the anti-dairying screaming skulls and self-proclaimed water quality experts who were quick to blame dairy cows for the problem. As a mate of the Hound asks: “Will Mike Joy, Rachel ‘Toxic’ Stewart, Greenpeace and every other halfwit now call for a ban on sheep farming, given that they clearly know s#$t about water quality?”

Editorial: A Poor Policy

OPINION: At a time when farmers are advocating for less government spending and no new taxes, the dairy sector is rightly concerned by ACT's new immigration policy.
