Who’s paying?

Written by

YOUR OLD mate notes the Meat Industry Excellence (MIE Group) has made much of being a grassroots farmer lobby agitating for meat sector reforms.

The Hound reckons a part of MIE’s success and/or resonance with farmers is this grassroots feel and that its members are dipping into their own pockets to fund it, etc. So the Hound was surprised to see MIE has now engaged Christchurch PR company Convergence  to run its media work. This old mutt is told such PR work does not come cheap and would be interested to know who is paying for it.
