New leaders for Insurance Council
The Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ) has appointed a new president and vice-president.
Each year, FMG provides two scholarships for promising students entering the first year of their undergraduate agriculture degree at Lincoln or Massey University. The scholarships contribute $4000 towards tuition fees for each year of their degree.
FMG's general manager for advice and insurance Conrad Wilkshire says the organisation is committed to helping rural New Zealanders achieve: "It's our business to help rural New Zealanders take risks, so it makes sense that we invest in the people wanting to step up and make a difference in the agriculture industry. We're proud to support the education of future leaders that will help the industry to thrive".
FMG's Agriculture Scholarships have already given 17 students a head start towards their agriculture careers, with many of them getting straight into jobs such as dairy consultants and irrigation specialists.
