Entries are now open for the $9,000 Whangarei A&P Society’s annual Agricultural scholarship.
Last year’s scholarship recipient Jacob Urlich, says the scholarship had a huge impact on his first year at Lincoln.
“The scholarship went towards the lump sum for the start of my hall fees payment plan and was a massive help, I’m so grateful to Whangarei A&P Society. I have loved getting to know Lincoln campus and have certainly made some lifelong friends as we spend this first year together in the halls of residence.”
Whangarei A&P Society President Evan Smeath says he encourages anyone planning to study in the primary industries next year.
“We’ve had a great standard of applicants over the last couple of years, they’ve seen a pleasure to interview.
“We’ve had a wide range of students apply from horticultural science and environmental science to agricultural commerce, which is great to see.
“We’re proud to support the next generation of graduates into the primary sector and welcome all applications,” he says.
Applications for the Whangarei Agricultural & Pastoral Society Scholarship are invited from students who live within the Northland Regional Council area. Applications close 4.00pm on Friday 16th September 2022.
