No favours

Written by  Milking It

OPINION: Some leaders from protest group Groundswell seem to be doing no favours to the organisation.

After their first hugely successful 'Howl of a Protest' in July was nearly hijacked by a few nutters, one woul have thought they would tread carefully, especially when airing their views on social media.

The recent forced resignation of Tatua Dairy Co-operative director Ross Townshend is a case in point. The Waikato regional protest coordinator shot himself in the foot with disparaging remarks about Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta.

Now, Mahuta should be taken to task for trying to ram through the disastrous Three Water reforms proposal, but Townshend went too far and has unfortunately dragged Groundswell through the mud as well.
