How come?

Written by  The Hound

OPINION: This old mutt is somewhat conflicted over the $3 billion Provincial Growth Fund (PGF) overseen by the king of pork barrel politics – Shane ‘Porn free’ Jones.

The idea of regional development in provincial NZ is a good one, but one has to question the motives of Jones, who is probably the most pompous, self-aggrandising, pretentious windbag to ever hold a ministerial warrant.

He was recently busted trying to bully forestry industry people into voting for NZ First if they wanted continued Government support.

So, it prompts the question why the Gisborne vegetable business Leaderbrand is getting a sweetheart $15 million loan from PGF.

Yes, Leaderbrand is a successful business that has been around for 40 years, so why is it unable to get a bank loan? Or is this just another dodgy political move by Jones – using taxpayer funds?
