Strong production, tested demand send milk prices crashing
Strong global milk production and rebalancing of demand among key buyers has delivered one of the biggest drops in whole milk powder prices in recent years.
New Zealand dairy farmers have woken up to some great news.
Whole milk powder price in the overnight Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction rose a whopping 14% to US$3,208/metric tonne.
The GDT price index was up 8.3% compared to the last auction.
All products on offer saw an increase in their average prices.
