Farm Source joins online scheme

Written by

Fonterra subsidiary, Farm Source is teaming up with a new online marketplace called TheMarket, operated by The Warehouse Group.

The first 10 Farm Source stores to join the scheme – Wellsford, Te Aroha,  Paeroa, Tokoroa, Opotiki, Waitara, Stratford, Carterton, Temuka and Wyndham, will now be a key pick-up and drop-off network.

Richard Allen, Farm Source Group Director says it is really excited about the initiative.

“We’re really excited about this initiative and the benefits it offers our communities, farmers and customers.

“This new partnership will allow them to pick up their parcels during our extended hours, including Saturdays, and have the peace of mind their valuable goods won’t be left unattended.

“For our co-op, it means attracting more people to our stores, some of whom may not have shopped with us before. This gives us more opportunities to showcase our range of products and the many benefits of being a Farm Source customer. By increasing scale of purchasing, we can deliver more value back to the co-op – and at virtually no additional cost.”

Allen says Farm Source is an important part of local communities: stores are open to the wider public who are always welcome to use the facilities.

“This innovative partnership is another way we can support our communities by offering an easy and convenient way to shop.”

Launched in August, TheMarket offers a huge range of new goods with a focus in in-season range from the most desirable brands, some of which have not been available in New Zealand before.

Included are more than 1,500 local and international brands, such as CottonOn, SurfStitch, Bobux, Citta and Playpark from Karen Walker. More labels are being added weekly, and goods from the entire The Warehouse Group stable, including The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, Noel Leeming and Torpedo7, are also available.

Initially, the 10 Farm Source stores in places where The Warehouse doesn’t have a store, will be order pickup and return destinations but the plan is to extend this nationwide over time.

When checking-out online on TheMarket, you can choose to have an item delivered to your home or choose to pick it up at your nearby Farm Source store. You will get an email and text telling you when your items are ready for pick up.
