Lusk – who is associated with such wonderful political types as Jamie Lee Ross, Cameron ‘Whaleoil’ Slater and NZ First (all of whom are likely, thankfully, to be wiped off the political map after the election) – is not known for taking on campaigns for free.
Yours truly understands that Lusk’s recent closeness to NZ First and that party’s linkages to the Talley Group – which owns and controls Affco – suggests his hit-job on the Alliance Group may not just be on his own account as Lusk claims it to be.
The adage of ‘follow the money’ could be well worth watching in this case.
