Utu?

Written by  The Hound

OPINION: Your canine crusader understands that the farmer’s favourite politician – Environment Minister David Parker – not content with implementing his impractical and unworkable winter grazing and low slope rules in the recent freshwater reforms, now has his grubby little mitts all over water issues in the Otago region.

Apparently, MfE has made a submission on the proposed new water in Otago seeking more stringent provisions than the notified plan.

According to experts, there is no technical report to support this approach and that this is most unusual.

Critics of the move wonder whether Parker’s grievance is because the hopeless Marion Hobbs (a former Labour Environment Minister), a friend of his, was recently deposed as chair of the Otago Regional Council.
