Feds make case for rural bank lending probe
Bankers have been making record profits in the last few years, but those aren’t the only records they’ve been breaking, says Federated Farmers vice president Richard McIntyre.
St Clair was boss at Feds from 1997 to 2005. Hailing from the great arid continent, he was cheekily christened ‘Toowoomba” Tony by yours truly back in the day. Despite having the borax poked at him regularly in this column, St Clair took it all in his stride and with good humour.
