Alliance Group has confirmed that eligible farmer-shareholders who supply and continue to back the business will receive up to $20 million later this year, following the strategic investment partnership with Dawn Meats.

Alliance Co-operative Chair Mark Wynne said the planned distribution would include two payments to eligible farmer-shareholders: a dividend for shareholding and a supply rebate for eligible livestock supply. Of the total, 45% will be paid as a dividend and 55% as a supply-based rebate.

The dividend and rebate are expected to be distributed to farmers in late 2026.

Further Distribution Planned

A further distribution of up to $20 million is planned for next year, subject to livestock flows. Seventy-five per cent is expected to be paid as a rebate and 25% retained as earnings.

"This planned distribution reflects the commitment to returning value to farmer-shareholders while continuing to strengthen the business," Wynne said.

"Reset-and-Growth Phase"

Alliance Chief Executive Niall Browne said the company is making good progress.

"Ten months on since the transaction with Dawn Meats, Alliance is changing for the better," he said. "After a tough few years, the business is moving into a reset-and-growth phase, built on disciplined improvements across the areas that will drive future shareholder value."

Browne said Alliance is maintaining its market share across lamb, mutton, beef and venison, with potential for growth. He said the company's financial performance continues to improve, and its focus is on turning that progress into stronger, more consistent returns.

"That means doing the basics better every day," Browne said.

He said Alliance is investing in plant upgrades to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, environmental performance and product quality. It is also streamlining livestock procurement, staying closer to customers and making faster decisions closer to its plants and regions.

"We are delivering against what we promised," he said.

What Shareholders Need To Do

Farmer-shareholders are being encouraged to check their livestock supply numbers in the Alliance farmer portal.

Alliance has not set out the detailed criteria for eligibility in the announcement.
