Gone feral

Written by

The anti-1080 crowd seems to have gone completely feral.

Their self-righteousness has long been seen, but now the lunatic fringe’s violent tendencies are out of control and they’re threatening human lives. Their belief that a feral animal’s life has more value than a human’s shows they’re completely off the reservation. They’ve also been telling porkies on social media to which DOC has responded with facts -- you know, statements backed by scientific evidence.

1. Benefits from 1080 use to wildlife are real and measured. e.g. Southland kaka now produce 30 times more chicks.

2. 1080 does not bioaccumulate. It breaks down in water and soil and does not affect native fish.
