Silver Fern Farms Airfreights 90 Tonnes of Chilled Meat to UAE Amid Freight Disruptions
Silver Fern Farms has successfully produced and delivered 90 tonnes of premium chilled New Zealand lamb and beef to the United Arab Emirates via airfreight.
Two high profile candidates have put their hands up for Silver Fern Farms board elections this year.
Former Federated Farmers chief executive Connor English and current Feds board member Chris Allen have filed their nominations.
They will take on SFF chairman Rob Hewett and sitting director Fiona Hancox.
A SFF statement says Hancox and Hewett retire by rotation at the company’s 2017 annual meeting, to be held in Dunedin on April 18; both have offered themselves for re-election.
The election will be conducted by postal and online ballot. Voting papers will be posted to eligible shareholders on Wednesday, 4 April 2018.
Voting will close at 3pm on Monday, 16 April 2018. The result will be announced prior to the annual meeting.
