It’s official, lamb will take centre stage on Kiwi Christmas tables this year.
Beef + Lamb New Zealand is calling for director nominations and annual meeting remits.
Nominations are being called for two farmer-elected positions on the BLNZ for the northern North Island and the northern South Island electorates.
Nominations must be submitted on the official form from the Returning Officer, Warwick Lampp by 5pm January 18 2012.
BLNZ wants voters in the two electorates to check they are on its electoral roll. To be eligible to vote, a livestock farmer must have owned at least 250 sheep, or 50 beef cattle or 100 dairy cattle on June 30 2011and must be registered on the roll by February 8 2012.
BLNZ is also calling for remits to next year's annual meeting to be held on March 22. Livestock farmers who want to propose remits are invited to submit them by January 18.
Remits will be included with voting documents for the annual meeting and sent to farmers in February 2012.
