Thanks Winnie

NZ First's provincial base, and the rest of us, have good reason to feel betrayed by some of the policy positions Winston Peters has signed to since putting the Labour-Green government into power.

Here’s the shortlist: Banning all future offshore oil and gas prospecting, signing the death warrant for one of Taranaki’s biggest industries. Thanks Winston! Cutting spending on state highways in provincial areas. Thanks Winston! Killing off crucial irrigation schemes that would have enabled economic growth (no, not just dairy) in the provinces. Thanks Winston! And hitting the regions with a 14 cent petrol tax to pay for urban (I’m looking at you Auckland) public transport. Thanks Winston... for nothing!
