Milk theft a puzzle

Written by

Farmgate milk is not fetching big returns so farmers at Mangatainoka in Tararua district are mystified by the recent theft of 1000L of milk.

A farmer appealed for information on a Wairarapa Facebook page for buying and selling. She says the milk was stolen from a vat at the farm where she lives.

Two air compressors were also stolen from sheds nearby and a chainsaw from the garage at to the house. No one was home at the time.

There was no sign anyone had tried to break into the house and a quad with the key in it was not taken.
