Fonterra, Sharesies join to make share trading easier
Fonterra is teaming up with wealth app provider Sharesies to make it easier for its farmer shareholders to trade co-op shares among themselves.
The final list of candidates for Fonterra’s board election is out. Surprisingly only one candidate came through the farmer nominated process.
Last year two farmer nominated candidates won seats ahead of candidates (including one sitting director) endorsed by the Fonterra board and shareholders council. The board anointed candidates also had the blessing of the independent selection panel.
But farmers disregarded that and voted for two self nominated candidates. Two sitting directors are standing again this year.
