Power tool manufacturer Makita has released details of its new cordless GP001G 40vMax XGT grease gun, designed as a practical and precise solution for lubrication of the largest machinery.

Configured with a 1200mm flexible hose, a maximum flow rate of 350ml/min, alongside maximum operating pressure of 69Pa and an air lock detection function, Makita claims that it can increase efficiency by as much as 175% at 40MPa when compared to the existing 18v model. In addition, a fixed quantity discharge function simplifies applying the required volume of grease.

Discharge volume can be adjusted with a simple trigger pull, while continuous greasing is simplified by locking the trigger, which also helps to prevent accidental operation. Bulk grease is directly loadable into the gun’s barrel.

Compared to its predecessors, a redesigned lower housing features a wider opening to simplify changes to the bellows cartridge, while ease of use is achieved with twin, LED job lights and a shoulder strap.

Suitable for use with the firm’s BL4080H, BL4020 and BL4080F batteries, accessories include a three-piece adapter set, a loader fitting, adapter, joint and flexible hose set.
