Fert firm gains green credentials

Written by

THREE MORE Ballance Agri-Nutrients' sites – Awarua, Whangarei, and Mount Maunganui – have gained ISO14001 certification recognising effective environmental management systems capable of continuous improvement.

"We are serious about our environmental responsibilities and the ISO14001 certification underlines that," says chief executive Larry Bilodeau.

"Having achieved this milestone we will continue our programme to achieve certification for other parts of our operations...

"Certification is a natural fit with our promise to farmers that we will help them grow production with a lighter environmental footprint."
