Dairy prices rise

The Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction overnight delivered its third consecutive positive result.

Average prices were up 1.9% compared to the previous auction.

Whole milk powder prices lifted 2.2% to US$2829/metric tonne.

New investment in spirulina production

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) Sustainable Food & Fibres Futures Fund will invest in a project to assess the viability of larger scale production of spirulina in New Zealand.
