IN PREPARING for the 'Young Horticulturist of the Year' competition next week, the six finalists will stretch beyond the boundaries of horticulture.

BRETT PARKER was crowned the New Zealand Young Vegetable Grower 2014, beating six other competitors at the national competition on Thursday, April 10.

TWO OF THE finalists in the 'Young Horticulturist of the Year' are taking their winning ideas from the drawing board to the market place.

THE WINNER OF the Young Horticulturist of the Year will be announced on Thursday night at the Grand Final on Thursday (November 14) at Auckland's Rendezvous hotel.
