OPINION: The culture of helping someone in need is alive and well in the ag sector.

Recently a suspected arson attack at Future Post - a South Auckland company making fence posts from 100% recycled plastic - caused more than $1 million in damage and out the company at serious risk.

But New Zealanders have stepped up in an incredible way.

A Givealittle Page set up to raise $500,000 to keep the company going has raised $300,000 so far.

The plea from the company is for donors to buy a $5 virtual fence post or donate what you can to help them reach the target.
